Oxjam is a music festival with a difference
– you make it happen
Since it began in 2006, Oxjam has become the biggest festival line-up in the UK. Thousands of people have given their time to put on thousands of fundraising music events up and down the country. More than £1,000,000 has been raised enough to provide care for 20,000 vulnerable children, safe water for almost 1.4 million people or buy 40,000 goats.
Indie pop to glam rock, classical to club night – your Oxjam event can be whatever you want it to be. Artists including The Editors, Fatboy Slim, VV Brown, Jarvis Cocker, The Kaiser Chiefs and Basement Jaxx have all supported Oxjam but it’s the creativity of ordinary people that makes it so exciting to be part of Oxjam.
This year 24 cities and towns around the UK have been selected to hold flagship events which will be run by regional teams. We’re really proud that Brighton & Hove will be participating and running a whole programme of events throughout October.
We’d love you to come along and support us at one of our events or if you fancy putting on your own event in September or October we’d love to help and hear all your plans so contact us.
You can find out more about Oxjam’s national campaign and what’s happening elsewhere by checking out the national website www.oxfam.org.uk
